Merle Ibach – Junior Researcher

Merle Ibach is a junior researcher at IXDM and the Institute Integrative Design as well as a PhD candidate at Leuphana University.

She is interested in the notion of the ecosystem as design process and how digital environments correlate with socio-ecological transformation. Her research practice is driven by fieldwork and material-aesthetic investigations. The project is carried out within the SNSF-funded research project Commons in Design.

Merle has a background in European Media Studies (Potsdam University) and Interface Design (University of Applied Sciences Potsdam). She graduated as a Master at the Institute Integrative Design at the Academy of Art and Design FHNW Basel.
