Yann Patrick Martins – Research Coder

Yann Patrick Martins is a coder and artist currently working at the IXDM. He holds a BA in Photography (Università degli Studi di Firenze) and an MA in Visual Communication and Iconic Research (Hochschule für Gestaltung und Kunst Basel). He started coding at 14 while enrolled at the high school for informatics. A practice that he left to pursue his BA in photography. The MA experience has set the ground for redescovering coding from a creative point of view, that led him to develop a speculative game as a means for communication across millenia. He is currently developing agent-based models for the project “Thinking Games for Commoning”.
