From 2014 to 2019, Leonie Häsler worked as a Junior Researcher at the Institute of Experimental Design and Media Cultures / Critical Media Lab. She is a PhD candidate at the University of Basel. Her dissertation takes a look at the design and manufacturing processes in the fashion and textile industry, settling between the fields of design history and media theory. To gather her data, Leonie was working with the archives of the former Swiss textile company Hanro. Leonie received her M.A. in Media Culture from Siegen University in Germany.
Since May 2019 Leonie is research associate at the Department of Cultural History and Theory of Humboldt University in Berlin. She works at the chair “Geschichte und Theorie der Gestaltung”.
