We invite submissions for the panel, Reimagining Archives: Visual Feminist Epistemologies in Digital Access, which will explore critical approaches to archives in the context of feminist Science and Technology Studies (STS) at 4S 2025 Seattle Conference (theme: Reverberations).

The panel explores how visualizations of archival data act as feminist epistemological practices, challenging dominant narratives and revealing marginalized histories. By offering diverse, inclusive perspectives, digital visual tools actively reshape archival content, confront biases, promote equity, and provide alternative views that disrupt traditional archival systems and knowledge structures.

We welcome experimental formats like workshops and hands-on sessions, as well as traditional paper presentations. This panel’s contribution to STS bridges feminist theory, digital humanities, and archival studies, reimagining archives as dynamic sites of knowledge production. It underscores the potential of digital tools and feminist ethics to shape more inclusive historical narratives, enriching STS with new insights on power, resistance, and reinterpretation.
