Camila A. Chebez is an Argentinian transversal designer & artistic researcher, currently based in Basel (CH).
Camila’s practice examines links between body and land and our primordial relation to the more-than-human. Her focus on storytelling encompasses political ecologies of extraction, ecosomatics and de-colonial botany. These themes are explored through collective gatherings, printed matter and experimental films which act as spells for reanimating an Earth too often figured as mute and inert, a wasteland in waiting.
She holds a BA in Graphic Design from the Royal Academy of Art The Hague (NL) and graduated with distinction at the Masters Degree program of Transversal Design at the Basel Academy of Art and Design FHNW (CH). Currently she is part of the MA Transversal Design Care Team working as Production Assistant.
