The Anthropocene Labs project is at Swissnex For The Planet – “Soil Stories”, an event of Swissnex Seoul 2025 to explore innovative solutions to ecosensibility, human-nonhuman relations and exchanges, and ecological practices in agriculture.

At the end of March 2025, the Anthropocene Labs team, including Jamie Allen from the Critical Media Lab and metaLab Basel and Jisoo Lim from the Transversal Design Masters programme, will participate in an exciting event in Seoul, Korea, organised by Swissnex Korea.

The event will focus on the intersection of agriculture, technology, and sustainability. Group fieldwork and roundtable discussions will explore how Korea’s agricultural policies can provide innovative solutions for sustainable growth in the Anthropocene.

The event will feature workshops, presentations, and panel discussions, providing a space for potential new Swiss-Korean collaborations on food sovereignty, eco-conscious technologies, and climate-resilient farming.

The Anthropocene Labs participation will explore how eco-conscious agricultural practices, innovative foodtech solutions, and smart farming technologies can contribute to sustainable growth toward a workshop with Korea Advanced Institute of Science & Technology (KAIST) students in Autumn 2025 in Daejeon, Korea. Anthropocene Labs’ ongoing work explores how ecology, art, and technology intersect in creating resilient and inclusive solutions for planetary environmental challenges.
