Jennifer Merlyn Scherler (*1996) is a research assistant at the Institute of Experimental Design and Media Cultures, an artist and a freelance video- and photographer.
After having completed her foundation year of Art and Design at the School of Design in Biel and having started her BA degree in Photography at ECAL, Lausanne, she is now doing her BA in Fine Arts at the Academy of Art and Design FHNW, Basel.
Her artistic work explores questions of intimacy, gender liquefaction, the meaning of nostalgia and the origin of what evokes familiarity through video, performance, sound, photography and poetic textual work.
She has worked as a production assistant at Parasol Films and been active in queer-feminist collectives and non-governmental organizations working on environmental issues.
