What is the right for we? How is it possible to not only acknowledge a multitude of identities and practices – but to actually contribute to them being seen? How and what responsibilities do we have in shedding light and valorizing particularities? How can practices of transformative publishing enable appreciative discourses with and about so far marginalized and unnoticed identities and practices?

Building on her intersectional publishing practice, Eva Weinmayr proposes a shift in focus from purely outcome-based approaches towards the social processes and relationships that publishing can enable. In her talk, Eva explores three aspects of publishing from a feminist intersectional perspective: The choice of formats and media; the ecologies of dissemination; and the ways in which editorial work can be approached to address power relations and access.

The lecture series addresses in- and exclusion, power relations and circumstances of privilege as well as responsibilities that come with it.

The series is held in the framework of the project «Recht auf Wir» – affiliated to the Department of Cultural Analysis, Art Education, held once per semester.
