At the invitation of the Critical Media Lab at the Institute Experimental Design and Media Cultures (IXDM), artist Eva Weinmayr is Artist in Residence at “HGK Basel @ Atelier Mondial” from 11 to 17 July 2023.
Eva Weinmayr, currently working from London, Munich and Gothenburg, has together with Lucie Kolb, Senior Researcher at IXDM, developed Teaching the Radical Catalogue – A Syllabus, a study and research programme that explores the dominant practices of classifying and organising knowledge in libraries of the Global North — from an intersectional decolonial perspective.
During this residency, Eva and Lucie will be developing ways how to translate the exhibited Syllabus and the online version into a book publication.
