You Never Listen
Temporary radio station at I Never Read, Art Book Fair Basel

With the live radio program, IXDM.distro – the institute’s publishing platform – reimagines its yearly book fair booth as as a temporary radio station: a hybrid between an on-air publishing space, a reading studio, and a walk-in listening area. Through interviews, collective readings, lectures, sound pieces and experimental contributions, the program explores how publishing can move beyond print and circulate through voice, sound and live transmission.
Extending broadcasting into experimental forms, Maria Maddalena Lenzi and Agnes Leclaire host the public broadcasting and music sessions during the fair.
The program will feature contributions from teaching and research activities across IXDM, including contributions from students and members of the BA Process Design at HyperWerk and MA Transversal Design, and will also host the launch of two new annual publications from both study programs.
You never listen will stream live on site and on the website of I Never Read, where it will also be archived as a podcast.
The ixdm.distro radio programme and temporary radio station is organized by Maria Maddalena Lenzi with ixdm.distro, which is Lucie Kolb, Felipe Castelblanco, Anna Laederach, Ann Mbuti and friends.
