Introducing: The Lab Showcase

The Lab Showcase is a set of custom-made display furniture for the Critical Media Lab. The showcase is a modular shelf on wheels and can be used as a small-scale exhibition unit, a flexible “welcome desk”, a mini-library with curated publications, or a media cart for teaching and meeting situations. The grid of horizontal slats of wood allows for quick and flexible reconfigurations of shelves, screens or other corresponding elements and fixtures.

The showcase was designed by our very own Joseph Popper and Moritz Greiner-Petter, and built with the great help of product designer Tomas Ribas and our in-house workshops. It takes up the formal language of storage furniture for industrial materials, finished in the Lab space’s signature accent color (RAL 6034 pastel turquoise, to be precise).
