You are cordially invited to Machine Teaching Commons / Teaching Machine Commons a one-day symposium and exhibition in cooperation with guest co-curator Jaz Choi.

The event presents the key findings and outcomes of the Scaling Material Urban Commons project at CML and puts them in relation to the work of invited international speakers, artists and designers exploring the promise and perils of site- and community-specific algorithms for governing urban resources and practices of safeguarding autonomy in working with algorithms from different disciplines and perspectives.

The symposium takes place on June 20th in the Aula of HGK Basel.

The exhibition is hosted by CIVIC at HGK Basel, with an opening on June 19th.
